mounting a sub on the rear deck in G3 teg hatches
I was thinking about doing that on a G2 teg, but there would be a lot of rattles going on if you did that without doing anything to hold it down and insulate it.
You should cut it out, put a few layers of dynamat on the bottom. Then it should sound real good, maybe make an inclosure to the back side of it also about 1 cf so you would have cleaner base.
I also did an free air setup in my 93 civic coupe in back of the rear seats with just a 10" and a MDF plate inback of the seat. Sounded good and couldn't beat the price... almost free (wood 5$ + $5 carpeting). But didn't hit that clean without an inclosure to seal it off. The trunk a very good at making bass sound louder though.
