Wow,even though that was a cool and rare feature, the last thing I need is a tv in my car, just one more distraction.

It's not stock, even in Japan. Tons of people have those, and they've all been retrofitted.

No that's not stock. It's not even JDM or RHD, or digital climate control etc.

There was a stock optional screen and tv package available in Japan. Most of the ones you'll see though are custom jobs.

ahaha lmao thats my pic. no the jdm screens are not there its infront of the passenger side i just moved the gas/heat module down
yea the screen in the jdm models are for navigation i remember someone who had a jdm prelude here found it in his car. You could do this as the only thing to the right of g/h is the dimmer module that takes up a lot of space this is what it looks like

It all depends what screen you put that right there was a gamecube 5.4 lcd screen i found a a flea market for cheap. I rarely use the screen but its really nice at night. The screen in that video is nice you can barely see mine in daytime thats why i rarely use it. I connected it to rca cables so i can hook my ipod videos on it
make it rain video

cfran55 did you connect it to some speakers? Or where they built into the screen? Since it was from a gamecube?

actually there is no sound from the screen
my setup is ghetto but it works
the screen was only for video no sound came from it or was connected else where

5.4lcd screen had a video connection yellow cable but not the standard yellow.
then my headunit which is pioneer had an ip bus connection. i bought a ip bus to red white aux socket and so the sounds are on when the aux is on.

What kind of headunit do you have?

Let's say one that scratches CD's for now.
But I was looking up the gamecube screens on ebay, the ones with the three connectors, yellow, red, and white, have built in speakers, and I'm guessing they are battery power..

JDM OEM screen infront of passenger

I got it.... in my 94 JDM BB1. happened to find it in my car after not knowing a great deal about it or its rareness. Still yet to connect anything up if possible at all. Be expecting another thread with pics of the connectors, asking for your help:D

i guess anything that has a spare aux input is good i know the pioneers have a ip bus that you can connect a cdrb10 which is like 10 bucks to get the red/white for audio
then the screen is just power and video connection.

this is the screen i have. I found at a flea market for 35 so i didnt care and tried it.

With this screen it has a connecter exactly like the gamecube a/c adapter cord. So all you need is the gamecube car adapter which is also 10 bucks and thats all very very simple

supplies
Gamecube screen 35
gamecube car adapter 10
rca cables FREE from old ps1
i forgot the name that you would connect the rca cables to couplers? i think they are called they are 3 bucks for 2 at radioshack. 6
then the ipbus so i can use aux 10
a 3.5mm i believe(portable dvd or videocamera) yellow cable cord to a rca yellow free from portable dvd player

dang pez1 i rememeber your old thread and that screen and dash look perfect

Sick! So the TV was an OEM option? Probaly only a cpl hundred made. Can u post more pics? It's hooked up to the speakers right? What is it used for? This was back in the early 90's and DVD's weren't the big thing then, and navigation is relatively new to the public so what did Honda intend it to be used for?

still not 100% on what the OEM screen was used for.... someone mentioned navigation, but i'm not convinced... on the passenger side?! the driver can barely see it.

You can't just hook it up and see what it does?
