Default OEM pressure plate with a 6 puck disc

Does anyone use a 6 puck (or similar) with a OEM pressure plate? Im snapping clutch cables, so the softer OEM Pressure Plate will cause less stress. I just dont know if Im defeating the purpose in my 200hp boosted single cam.

that would be kind of pointless. i really doubt the stock pp will hold the grip and abuse of the 6 puck....... you need something with a high clamping force that engages a little harder

i would try a stock oem cable and give that a try, i'm using my oem with stage one clutch on my b16 and have no problems, also make sure there is a hair of play on the clutch pedal. so dont adjust it to the poing where there is no tension on the cable

I ran a 6 puck on a stock pressure plate and the pp didn't hold the abuse for long so no, i don't recommend it. I upgraded to act heavy duty pp and it works great
