I think my clutch is slipping??
my problem is that when im getting on it to about 8000 in first and go to second my S2000 keeps the V-tech range but looses power. I talked to a guy at work that has had other Honda's, and he said that my problem may be with my clutch. If there are any opinions about this it is greatly appreciated, also if any one has had to buy a new clutch for there S2000 and they have any opinions on a good aftermarket clutch please let me know. thanks alot and drive safe everyone.
Easiest way to check for slippage.
1) Get WOT
2) If the RPMS fly, but the speed is slowly catching, Its toasted.
3) If on freeway (depending on how bad your clutch is) put it in cruise control. If it falls out of cruise control and starts decelerating. Its toasted.
and lastly:
4) put it in 3rd gear (I believe) while stationary and the car on. if it doesn't stall, say goodbye to your clutch.
