ive just installed a A1000 with -10 lines precision 1000cc, aem fuel rail,AEM fpr,

i cant get the fuel pressure lower than 60psi at idle, i have checked the diaphram and its all good. the FPR is only 2 months old

How did you check the diaphram? It must be the fpr.

i opened up the regulator and checked the diaphram for any holes or damage, looked brand spankinh new, it wasnt brittle either like some diaphrams go after a while, so im still stuffed why its so high?

this my fuel setup maybe the problem?

im running a swirl tank in the boot, the walbro fills the swirl pot and the A1000 comes off the swirl tank, there is a return line from the swirl tank to the OEM fuel tank so the swirl tank does not get pressurised, the return line from the FPR returns to the swirl pot to, do you think this maybe cause the high pressure, having it return to the swirl pot first instead of the OEM fuel tank? or should the return line go straight to the OEM tank?

Thats very possible, I dont know how you have your system setup but I would disconnect the return and run it to a bucket or something and see if this lowers the pressure. If it does then it is the swirl tank that is causing the problem.

Thats what I was thinking, but I just dont know what else could be causing it if the FPR is working properly as he says.

so run the return line from the FPR to the OEM tank instead of the swirl tank, but also run a return line from the swirl tank to the oem tank so that does not pressurize either..................

I'd be worried about keeping the surge tank full like that. I'd think the regulator return would need to go to the surge tank first, like you had it originally. Maybe all your return lines and line from the surge tank to the oem tank were too small?

i disconnected one of the hose connected to the surge tank, put the ignition switch on and it shoot fuel out at least 8 foot away, all the return lines are -6, you must remember the walbro will flow tons more becuase its not under pressure anymore, so keeping the surge tank filled does not seem to be a problem, but i get your point, i maybe should have run larger return lines in the 1st place.
