Default going to my dealership tomorrow

...to figure out this whole third gear notchiness. Any pointers on how I should go in there? Are most dealerships shady when it comes to service?

Tell them to look at the sychro's. That is what the issue was with mine, although it is not completely fixed. Otherwise change to the new Honda Manual Transmission Fluid which is found in the DIY.

go in there, GUNS blazing, pistol whip the service rep. and hold the technician at gun point till he's done with your problem. LOL, just kidding.

when you shift it just isnt as smooth as i'd like it to be sometimes. other times it shifts without missing a beat. its almost like theres a little bump in the shifter. its not a big deal to me and it doesnt effect my driving at all.

If you havent already changed and upgraded to the new transmission fluid then I would suggest just getting that done. If you still feel like something isn't right then bring it in again. The new fluid makes a world of difference.

Talking to a guy last night at a local meet
he said that he had issues with the springs on his clutch coming loose/ or breaking off and honda replaced the whole tranny.

Didnt really go into detail on it but started from his 3rd gear issues.

Yeah its like a bump. I drove it with a service tech. around the block and then he drove it to feel it. He said he's had several come in each week with this prob. Even S2000s come in occasionally with it.

He explained it to me but I can't word it right so Im not even going to try. But it made sense and he told me if it gets worse then there might be a prob. I told him its been exactly the same.

I asked him if new mt fluid would help and he said 07s came with the new honda fluid. He actually said s2000s were even notchier cause he had one and it was wayyy worse.

If you're having problems related to a fluid that isnt scheduled to be changed yet, it should be covered by warranty.

Ive changed the fluid in quite a few CR-V's to get rid of chattering on tight turns under warranty when the mileage was under the scheduled interval.
