Simple question, can i use an oil block adapter like the one below, for my Defi BF electric oil pressure and oil temperature gauges? Thank you.
The problem with that particular unit for measuring oil pressure is taht it takes the pressure before the filter, which could be a couple psi higher than the 'side' thats feeding the bearings. The filter will naturally create a pressure drop to some extent. Oil temps should also be taken at the pan, so I'm not sure how inaccurate they'd be. If you're spending the money for DEFI, I wouldn't cheap out on placement - it negates any advantage of an accurate gauge.

Im lookin for the best way to put the sensors, so whats the best for oil temp and oil pressure? In the oil pan for oil temp is the best? just weld a bung in the deep part? what about oil pressure?

Agreed, pull the temp from the pan. I use my feeds on the plate for the oil feed and oil press.

I see what the guys above are saying but let me also say this.
With gauges in your car, temp, weather, are all also factors that make slight variations in the readings.
What your watching these gauges for is drastic changes in the normal readings you see all the time, thats when you know something is up.
So in saying that, whether the temp or oil pressure reading is ***** dead on or not really isn't the goal, the goal is seeing a big change from what it normally reads.........and doing something about it.

agreed
I don't look at mine for a "dead on" reading (oil psi), I moreso look for a big fluctation out of the norm.
Boost on the other hand...
