Default turbo gsr?

i bought a 93 civic hatchback and it has a single cam mini me. i was not happy when it doesnt have enough power to do a fricken burnout. i ordered a turbonetics turbo for it and am really regrettin boostin the singlecam when i have a gsr sittin in my garage. what would happen if i boost the gsr i know the compression is high but what can i do? please help me out

FOR ONCE IN YOU NOOBS LIVES SEARCH THIS UP!

YES.
You can boost the GSR just fine.
Its not going to pop because of the compression, just learn how to tune it, don't just expect to slap a turbo on and motor and expect to have at it.
With proper tuning yes, turbo GSR can be done. Its compression isn't super high.

Maybe common sense should come into play when there happens to be plenty of people on this board with Turbo GSRs...

Swap the gsr motor asap, sell your sohc and use that money towards your boosted application. Then have the turbo kit installed, along with other supporting mods. Then get it tuned which is most crucial and dyno that bastard. The specs in a gsr can withstand any turbo with the right setup and tune.

yea im definatly doing it and i already have a turbonetics kit on its way im getting it tuned by whipfactory and they are like honda gods they definatly know what there doinwhat do u think i will run boostin 7 or 8 psi?

i boosted my gsr, its bad, but be careful you dont blow it man ha
