ok I don't care if they ride like crap cuz I already have them but my question is this.
So I purchased some DA (90-93) Integra suspension. Combo Was Tein S-Tech lowering springs and KYB GR-2 shocks/struts.
The front combo went in just fine (may have been because I have DA knuckles and hubs in the front, I don't know if that matters)
So I try to install the same combo on the rear but the Struts are to tall to fit by about 1/2" inch. The mech tells me is because of the struts so I can't use them.
So I take the Tein springs off the KYB and install them on my old rear struts...
Drop the car of the floor jack and my car has been highered significally.
So I go to the passenger side and try the install in reverse.
So I use my Old springs (what brand I do not know but they look like this)

and the KYB struts. And everything sits fine. So I figure it the springs and not the shocks. Has anyone else tried to use DA Tein springs on their civic with the same problems.
Is the Spring rate that different that it would raise my car.
Like I said the front sit just fine. I actually have some camber because of the drop. But the rear is casuing some issues
Thanks

i know streetwerks said that DA lowering springs raise up an EF
do you have any pictures of how much higher your car sat? i'm curious because i'm hoping to lift my EF and i'd like to see it it will be a sufficient lift

My friend recently did a full DA disc swap in his 91 hatch and even though I told him not to he used the DA springs. Look at the size of the car compared to a hatch or a crx. It now looks like a monster truck and he let go of his old drop springs. So it is a fact that the DA is heavier and the springs will lift the car about an inch or even two above factory ride height.
I made the same mistake but my stock springs were shot so i just cut down the h&r da springs i had to make it work. Not something i would suggest. I also want to find a old hatch and put da springs on it to lift it up and rally that ****!

I forgot to take pictures but it was a 3 finger gap.
Basically looked like stock height.
If you really want to do it, buy some TEIN 88-91 Civic lowering springs and I'll trade you. These only have at the least 1k miles on them. And your going to need a friend to help you intall the DA Tein springs on your shocks/struts to press them down
So I'm guessing the front worked just because the car has a b16 in it now??

my blue lowering springs were shorter by about 1/2-1" inch then the Teins.

so your front lowers but the rear sits up high huh? DA rears don't work for EF's. For a reference look at this link: http://www.ef-honda.com/ben/EFlowering.php
I say get new ****, or you could always cut the springs because that should drop the car.

I call BS! It deffinately will effect ride quality. They are a progressively wound spring just for the ride quality. Why don't you just sell them to someone in your area with a DA. Cut springs suck and lead to more problems.

do yours having any marking on them??
I was not able to figure out what springs they were because they were on the car when I purchased it
The picture up top is the front springs that I rook off. I don't have any pictures of the rear springs right now but possibly by Saturday I can post some.
I just want to see what height Tein springs give a civic in the rear so I know if its even worth it to pursue this whole thing of swapping out

Here check out this link. http://www.sprintspring.com/car-suspension.html
If they are sprints, then put them on the GR-2's and that is the same combo I'm runing right now. Nice ride height and a nice ride. I can look on sunday at my springs and see if they have any markings. I don't remember if they did or not. They look very similar to the sprint springs though.
