Turbo, anything else is a waste of time with that motor.
Though if it's stock I'd recomend you get rear discs, wheels, adjustable shocks, springs, and a good swaybar setup first.
You can skip the wheels if you like vx wheels.
And if you do decide to boost it, grab an Si/ex tranny and a zc cam. You'll be very pleased with the results.

Junkyard, itr front/rear.
And you'll need a subframe reinforcement kit.
