Did you arm and lock your doors? A slim jim can open a door rather easy...so I dunno...depending on what alarm you had...the viper I had went off when you nudged the tire.

this is why alarms are pointless.

I can get into my car in 3 minutes with a coat hanger and 2 flatheads.

They must own 4th gen Preludes themselves. Who steals a cup holder & ash tray? Those are pretty sought after items for Prelude owners, but the average car thief would not know that.

Isn't there a tutorial somewhere in here that talks about how easy it is to get in a Prelude from the passenger door? And in said thread/tutorial, it goes on to help show how to make it more difficult, if not take care of the problem?

i can think of 3 easy ways to get in, but a proper alarm install should thwart all of them. as soon as your door is opened the alarm if wired correctly should go off.

The fourth generation prelude is actually pretty difficult to break into without doing damage. Who ever got into your's probably owns one or is very familiar with them. It took a pop a lock guy 25 minutes to do mine once. That is with the manual and the tools. This person may have used another honda key on your door too. Thieves should be shot.

Weak suace!!!! I'm a locksmith and if it takes me more than thirty seconds to get into a fourth gen i feel like a moron! As far as that goes if it takes me more than thirty seconds to get into 90% of the cars on the road today I feel like a moron. you should call someone else next time you lock your keys in your car cause that guy doesnt know what he is doing.
