sx4a(JDM) auto tranny?

sx4a(JDM) auto tranny?
Posting for a friend. He installed a sx4a(jdm) tranny into his 96LS. The car shifts hard but at the proper RPM. He doesn't have Honda ATF in it but I am getting him some tommorow. It also has an extra 6pin connector on the end. Anyone have any info on these trannies.
