i dont know how to post pics. but i gutted my car and love it. i just gutted my dash yesterday and it looks awsome. you can save about 100- 150 lbs with gutting it. to take out the sound deadning you should wait till its really cold out and it comes right up. i completly filled a trash can with just hoses and air ducts. heater core and everything under there weighed about 30lbs
It's a generally bad idea and most people regret doing it later on. It's not particularly useful, doesn't look cool or anything, and isn't worth the hassle.
Just be careful removing parts and make sure you save everything you removed if you end up doing this - don't go losing or selling it. You'll be glad you did some day.

There is no way in hell your complete CRX rear interior weighed 67lbs unless you are including spare tire, jack, tool kit, speakers, and cargo cover with that. Even then, it's a stretch.

X 2.
I'm not buying that. Those plastic pieces weigh NOTHING. The spare tire and jack don't weigh much either. And anyways, 67 lbs....that is roughly 8 gallons of gas. Do you honestly feel the difference in performance with a full tank of gas?
The placebo effect is strong with this one....

i have a gutted out hatch, but just the back is gutted. the front seats and everything else in front is still there. it doesnt look bad at all, and you cant even see it when your in the front seats.
i dont think a sedan would look right gutted, but to each is own. plus if your not dding it, then it shouldn't really matter.
but remember to take everything off carefully, dont just rip it off. i can throw all my interior back in if i wanted. so if you do gut, keep your interior safe in your garage.

not for a daily. did it . regreted it. spent a load of money on new interior.
if you decide on gutting the car dont throw away or sell the interior. you may want to put it back in.
