Default Purge selenoid removal

Okay I plan on removing my charcoal canister and mounting my catch can in it's spot. When I do this I know I have to plug all of the vacuum lines except the gas vent. My question is if I unplug the purge selenoid at the harness will it throw a CEL? I am obd1 so my MAP is on the TB, so I was wanting to get rid of those 2 things from the firewall as well.

Mine does not throw a code. its obd0 if you cap off the vent line from the tank it will build pressure eventually enough to rise the fuel pressure, generally messing with things.

I did the same I put a moroso can right where the charcoal canister was. I unplugged the sol. and no CEL. I just put a 1/4" hose on the tank vent tube on the firewall and ran it down pointed to the ground.

I never thought to look if there was a code for the purge selenoid.

That is what I plan on dooing as well. I will be making my can though. I've got a pretty good idea for one so check out my build for it soon. Thanks guys.
