blem for 2 weeks, i just fixed it yesturday.
here is what i did .
keep in mind this was on my h22 hatch.
I replaced cap and rotor, and i also forgot the ground wire from vavle cover to car body ground. after i did that, she pulled harder than ever.
or could be a bad chip. i done this on a stock p13.

yeah I checked the code by jumping the two wires by the ecu. THe last codes I got was a o2 sensor but I fixed that. I don't have the motor grounded however.gonna try that and see what happens

wow if you truly do not have the motor grounded to the chassis I am surprised that the car would even start. Make sure you have a ground from the chassis to the trans, power steering bracket, head, I know I am missing one cant think right now aahhhhh

werd and make sure to not use shitty wire to ground it either...if you can get your hands on some decent OFC (oxygen free copper) stranded wire for your grounds and make sure to use at least 4 gauge if you are only placing 1 or 2 gorunds on the entire engine. if you're going to put more than just 1 or 2 you can go with 8 gauge.

Yes grounds are critical and an easy first step to do. But unfortunately sometimes the symptoms you describe can mean the ecu is toast. Solid check engine code (no actual code numbers register) and crazy low rev limit are signs of a bad computer. Who did the chipping?
