Vacuum Lines. What do they do?
I'm pretty new to car stuff and was just looking for some more detailed explanations of what all the vacuum lines are for. Anybody care to share? I searched and found lots of threads, but nor real theory on how they work as a system.
uhhh lol.
Different vacuum lines have different purposes. A map sensor senses vacuum in order to help tell your ecu how much fuel it should be injecting. The brakes booster uses vacuum to make it easier to brake. Vacuum is hooked up to your evap canister to suck gas fumes from your gas tank for emissions. And there are other vacuum lines that can do many other things.
So basically vacuum lines are used to help your car run better. That's why if you have a vacuum leak your car runs like crap.

^^^ YOUR SIG IS GOLD LOL.
Back to topic though, a vac line is just a pipe which uses low pressures to pass things through it. Like drinking out of a straw. The purposes where in the previous post.
