clunk engaging drive 04 Accord

my 04 accord just started making a substantial clank noise when going from nuetral to drive w/o brakes applied; just passed 36K miles & warrranty is NLA;

any experience with this?

i didnt think you were supposed to shift without the brakes engaged in the first place? Are you doing nuetral drops with it?
