Default valves makin noise?????

ok i have a b16 in my 89 crx and it sounds like the valves are makin alot of noise but we checked them and everything was right could my springs be worn or what

you may need to replace your lost motion assembly..To tell you the truth, I don't know exactly what it does but I had the same symptoms in my car and my mechanic had me replace them and wallah! No more valve chatter Although there could be other possible reasons why, you just have to inspect further. Retainers in place? Right gap and torque specs?

Yep..just ask the dealer how much they sell ITR lost motion assemblies for...I think I paid $100, but that's maybe 3 yrs ago

could be your rocker arms...just a suggestion mine was ticking like hell and I found out when I had to drill a bolt out I got shavings in the rockers

these b16 are crazy old. the LMA in most of these engines are ****. replace them with itr/gsr. same ****.

or buy h22 ones and use a washer. do a valve adjustment and you should be good.

dont forget to check everything else too.

...I thought my valves were chattering for about a week but then it was the timing belt which snapped
