Default Fuel Injector Questions.

May be a dumb question, but...is there a difference in injectors? Are all OBD0's the same? For a MPFI swap, would I be able to use my 2 from DPFI?

I can get a MPFI Intake manifold VTEC. I know I can use this IM, but I don't need to use the resistor right? I'd rather use the resistor and just swap injectors. Is that possible? Just pop OBD0 injectors in the fuel rail?

Thanks.

You can't use the dpfi injectors, for the mpfi swap.

Okay...so can I just get 4 OBD0 injectors from an all ready MPFI and use them in the VTEC IM?

It might be easier to just use the OBD1 injectors all ready in the IM, without the injector resistor, but I haven't really seen any write-ups that have done it that way.

OBD0 injectors require the resistor box (5.5v+)
OBD1 injectors require 12v+ direct (no resistance)

A intake manifold has nothing to do with VTEC alone, the head and VTEC solenoid does.
What engine do you have? are you running it with a OBD1 or OBD0 ECU?

you have it pretty much right.. if you get an obd 1 IM, you CAN use the obd1 injectors and you must NOT use the resistor box. you will still have to wire the setup for 4 injectors instead of 2, but no resistor box in this circuit.

You can also use the obd0 injectors, but then youll need to wire the resistor box.

the standard obd0 mpfi swap instructions generally include the wiring for the resistor box, so i would go that route if you can..

edit: listen to the guy above me..

I know it isn't going to have VTEC. I'm using a D15b2 and just switching to MPFI with a PM6. I just wanted to make sure what injector plugs to use, and if I could use odb0 plugs with a resistor when the IM comes with obd1s
