Default F22b1 - H22a - h23a

I have a 92 honda accord, i am wanting significant power gains and will be adding a turbo soon, i would like to know which of these heads would be the best swap on to my f22a, i have heard that the h23a is useless and you should just swap the intake manifold from it, i do not know if you could swap the h22a head or not, i know the f22b1 head you can swap on to the f22a, but does the vtec make that big of a difference, if i swapped the f22b1 head could i put the h23a intake manifold on it, please any help would be great, and what is the best setup for horsepower gains, and i will be getting a hi-flow cat, new oem muffler for a good sound, and new 2.25 piping back to the muffler, new cam gears, and how much horsepower could i expect out of these setups

Default f22b1 head versus h23 intake manifold

which will give me the best horsepower gains for my 92 accord, the vtec head swap or the h23 intake manifold, one or the other, and how much of a gain could i get with the vtec head

What makes the H23A1 "useless"?

You can swap the H23A1 inatke manifold onto the F22B1 head but it'll take some work. Do some searching, you'll find a few threads about it. In the FAQ there is a link to someone who started doing it and the modification required to make it reliable but I don't know if he ever finished it.

Now I don't know much about turbo applications but wouldn't you want larger exhaust piping and a free-er flowing muffler for the turbo?

Check out the FAQ, there are links to the H22A and F22B1 head swaps onto F22 blocks.

Im doing the h23 head swap on my f22b2. I got a complete head for 100bucks locally good deal huh? The h23 swap is the best bang for the buck, especially if your going to boost. If you want to run high boost on a h22 you have to get it resleved to accept forged pistons. So by swapping the head on a F-block you get the best of both world, good boosting platform and great all motor topend and torque.

160 horses and 145 ftlbs sounds good to me.
