the short story is:
he went down on the freeway going about 70 mph, bike slid for a couple hundred feet and then went into a ditch and tumbled a bunch of times. i was behind him by about 30 yards and saw it all happen. then i pull over along with some other friends in a minivan and next thing you know, his bikes on fire. had nothing to put it out with so the thing just blazed for a good ten minutes before highway patrol came.
he was wearing a shoei rf-1000, icon leather jacket, alpinestars gloves. injuries to him was a slight concussion, seperated shoulder, some road rashing on his lower back, wrist, both knees and around his ankles. broke off three of his toe nails
due to no foot protection. he's fine now, but pretty banged up.

if you look closely in the first pic, on the ground are the instructions for the yoshimura slip on we just installed
. the tires had less than 200 miles, and fire melted part of the rear tire so i doubt whoever asked if they were for sale probably wouldn't want them anymore
. we're probably gonna try to go claim the tire warranty at cycle gear where we got them from.

I'm doing all I can to stoop myself from busting out laughing... but I won't, how DO you loose it at 70 on the freeway?
Imean if you were doing 140mph, you got vibrations and the bike spat you off, but 70mph? If he suffered from tank slappers at that pace there was something terribly wrong with the tire mounting/construction... Did he have a mechanical failure?
