I thought the purple heart was the enemy marksmanship medal?

(Kidding man, I got my DD-214 back in 1997)

Nice bro, but really what the hell does a purple heart have to do with DMV registration?

I`m assuming he is going to get a special license plate that shows his injuries he sustained while in combat.

i dont think it has anything to do with a registration but i think that most cops wouldnt bother you as much.... also being that you can get a specialized license plate. but i still can get the a war veterans for mine and no one else can get it either... (ITR 00-0666) wondering if that will fit....? hmm..

then again.... depends on the cop

by the way chris i have the same ribbons and medals all except the purple heart and combat action..

Thats def not a bad thing, I have met people that brag about a purple heart, I dont get it.

Not always a marksmanship medal, but def I fakked up an american soldier award. You were a casualty of war, I'm sorry you were injured but that is no way shape or form a "I did something special"! Troops should get an award for being in combat and coming out alive without injury.

Like the OP is doing, use the award to get you something. My brother has a purple heart and gets out of certain taxes in the state of NY..

<not jealous of getting out of the military without a purple heart. I'm proud of the ribbons/medals I recieved My tags are fight terrorism tags, that anyone can get.

Actually, when I was active and in the reserves, I used to "accidentally" show my military ID when I was getting out my license for the police officer. That usually followed with, "Have a nice day."
