i know there is a lot of threads with this but i have tryed everytrhing from the head gasket also used copper spray,waterpump,aluiminum dual core half size radiator with a 14" fan yes it blowing the right way and also it is on all the time all the lines are brand new also bypassed the heater core there is no air in my system jacked the car up and everything related to the cooling sysem is new the wierd thing is that it is not overheating at stoplights it is when i am cruising i can sit with the car running anywhere and it will stay at 1/4 on the gage all day long . the only thing i can think maybe the cap is to high pressure came with the radiator about ready to give up because this is the second motor with the same problem

when you replaced your head gasket, did you get the head resurfaced? how about the block? did you check for warpage?

It's probably not the problem but maybe your gauge is bad? I know my old gas gauge had similar problems when I broke it.

i also had the head cheacked at the machine shop and it was good

tyred it with a new 180 degree thermostat and with out one cut the center out the only difference was that without the thermostat it took longer to cool down
