Default R.I.P. Chris

hey guys the past two days have really sucked... I've been tryin to go on normal but i think it's time to post this one up... I will never street race or drive fast on the roads ever again for this reason...

I watched one of my best friends get killed 3 nights ago in a street race... I didn't know the race was going on I pulled up to the swap meet on friday night and helped a friend buy an ecu for his car (posted about it earlier)

I was told that a mazda 6 and a itr were about to race a few blocks away.... I went down to watch suspecting that it was chris in the mazda because he is the only one in town that owns one that is modded and as i was pulling up i heard the cars screaming down the road, turbo's spooling and gears changing i noticed that my friend chris was the owner of the mazda.

The ITR won the race and as they were slowing down my friends car blew a tire and i watched the car jerk off the road, hit a parked car, and roll sideways and then end over end several times in and out of a ditch.

I sped off down the road to go check on him and as i ran up to the car i couldn't even see him inside of it. We called 911 and he was pronounced dead on the scene.

Here is a pic of the car:

guys on h-t do me a favor and take into consideration the dangers of street racing and don't do it... save it for the track please

R.I.P. Chris man we miss you already

sorry if this is in the wrong location but i really don't care at the moment

i think it hit me really hard cause i watched it happen... it was just weird the way it happened... i ragged the **** out of my ej1 when i was drivin down there to check on him... and i don't even remember it... some people there said i was hittin the rev limiter and screechin the tires when i changed gears... just to find out that i couldn't even find him in the car... he wasn't ejected but i couldn't see him at all i looked for probably 5 minutes straight and then the ems showed up... they said he was under the passenger side dash....

sorry for you loss bro, it must be hard seeing all of that happen right in front of you. This is one of the reasons why i dont like to street race. Even though you have the best intentions something like a blown tire can kill you in seconds. I've had a friend and uncle who died from street racing, its hard to let go bro...keep your head up man.

RIP CHRIS

damn, that sucks!!!
sounds like a freak accident though. a tire could blow out anytime, anywhere and be devastating. do you know what tires he had?

im sorry for your lost...

i hope people can see the dangers of street racing.

of course no one thinks its going to happen to them till it really does...

just think maybe he may have lost his life but he also may have saved a bunch in the future for those who attended. Just sucks he had to use his life to show an example.

sorry man...

I was in an accident that totalled my '97 Civic coupe because of a blown tire. I had gotten the tire that day and crashed 2.3 miles from leaving the place I got the tire put on. Sidewall blowout going around a turn and I went headfirst into a concrete pillar at the base of a lightpole.

I wasn't even racing.

Sorry about your friend, but I think most of us know racing had something to do with the end result.

Sorry for your loss.

I hope everybody realizes that racing in general, in a publicly uncontrolled environment, isn't smart.
