Headlight lamp has a slight film in the upper area, how to clean it off?

I've tried cleaning it off with the following products:
Soap and water
Meguiars Cleaner Wax with microfiber & terry cloth
Toothpaste and gentle to hard scrubbing
Brake Cleaner
Anybody have any suggestions?

Picture doesn't work.
If all else fails, sandpaper. They might need a good polishing anyways

yeah try to wet sand them
they sell stuff for that at parts stores and wal-mart its like $20 it worked on my 97 I dont remember the specific name of it though just ask someone at the parts counter

hmm. remember the company that makes it or anything close to that? I go to wally-world like every 3 days and haven't seen that in the automotive area. weird.. (It's not a Super-walmart tho)

Oh yeah! I have that stuff too, I'll try it tomorrow. Plus i have an electric buffer. If neither option works, I will do what ek forever suggested: sandage with super fine grit
I'd advise not using brake cleaner or other parts cleaners on plastic. It could eat it, making your problem worse.

try toothpaste
naw but seriously try wetsanding with 1500 grit and then 2000 grit and a good polish. i did that to my gf's headlights cus her lights were completely hazy and dull and that took it right out...just make sure you keep the sandpaper really wet

I used "brasso" on y sol headlights. It worked for me..
but I would recommend that you try just a small spot first. You may have different results.
