So now I am officially a member of the 200+ WHP club, but I just squeaked in there. Finally took my car to a dyno and got the WOT stuff sorted out. Some may be disappointed with my results but I am not. My spoon header, stock intake manifold and throttle body are the likely reasons I’m not sitting at 210+ right now. Knowing these limitations I’m pretty pleased to see numbers around 200. My old engine with the same external bolt-ons made 178.
An SMSP header is definitely on my short shopping list as well as a couple more goodies; however, I’ll have to wait until all the Expo bills are paid before I dig into the wallet again.
Here is the graph:

And a few pics (not taken by me) from my shake down lapping event I did a couple weeks ago… the car is quick!

Thanks to everyone who helped me through this. A special nod goes out to Skunk2
, King Motorsports
, PIC
and of course my builder Gord Bush Performance
.

I know this already
But the Spoon header did well to break the 200 WHP mark.

thats looks like your running it pretty lean, i would have richened it up and seen if it made any more power,
i mean thats a nice build but people are putting down more power than that with stock block with b16/ctr pistons and 1/3 the price
none the less very nice build

Looking at the graphs:
Red line = Rich line = less power
Blue line = Lean line (A/F ~ 13.2-13.3) = more power

i had 164 whp with same bolt ons
after rebuild with CTR pistons, RM M22XX
i gained almost 40 whp
yeah i dont know if you remember me.. but i hope to see you around at some track day babynsx.
i think u gave me a ride in your car at cayuga or somewhere

Nice Doug!
But I have to say .... that 200WHP feels more like 300WHP on the track. After a lap in that car I didn't know where my ***** were. I think one was in my throat and the other was MIA.
Insane car!!!!

Doug man good stuff! Can't wait to hang out with you next week.
You're right with a nice I.M./T.B. combo and that SMSP header I think easily 14 to 18-20 whp with your set up. Dibs on some sits ins

Looking at your build, I would say that adding an SMSP exhaust manifold may upset the balance with the cams you are currently using. Along with that SMSP I feel that your engine will be able to easily handle a slightly more aggressive cam than what you are currently using. Maybe Pro 2's or M22's.
The engine definately has the potential to reach around 220whp with all the other supporting modifications IMO.

Trust me .... it'll happen to alot of people at expo! Not to mention his complete disregard for life going into a turn! Talk about precise braking points ...
