I walked out to my parking lot today to find my Type-R's door wide open with the steering column and ignition module busted to pieces on my floorboard. Lucky for me the Type-R's pressure plate is broken so the car is impossible to get into gear while it is running so they were unable to go anywhere with it. From a quick glance they left everything in the interior intact which is a good thing I guess. The only thing that sucks is that I'm probably not going to want to file this under insurance. It'll be just enough money to replace to **** me off but probably not enough to warrant the deductible plus whatever insane rate hike they'll probably try to give me.
I was up all last night too (until about 6am in the morning) which also sucks. I would have loved to have introduced them to my Stevens side by side double barrel filled with 3" Magnum buckshot shells.

I'm so sick and tired of seeing these threads...I wish all the thieves would drop dead. Glad to see you still have heR at least. Don't ever replace the pressure plate!!
In Alabama???
Damn what's next, North Carolina.
Kudos to having a busted clutch I guess. Good luck with the decision on the repairs.

Sucks to hear. Glad they didn't get away with it though

It would be a comprehensive claim, which should typically have no bearing on your premium.

Well that's great to hear.
Wait did I say the pressure plate was already broken? Now that I think about it I believe the thieves must have broke that as well.
< jk of course.
As soon as the R is fixed I think I'm going to start keeping it at work. Since I'm at work 5 days a week if I want the R for the next day I can just leave my daily driver in it's place. If they are brave enough to break into the FBI compound to get it (concrete/iron security fence, laser sensors, 24hr armed guards and night vision capable cameras starring at it 24/7) then they deserve it.

Glad the car is still around
I'd be extremely careful though, they may bring a rollback next time

Yep. I filed three comprehensive claims approaching $5k total in the 30 months I had my Hype R. Rates never changed. Four if you count a $550 windshield (some companies list glass separately).

Is there anywhere in this country safe?
Even in the hicks the R is getting hit.

Glad you still have your R man, and that they didn't strip anything off where she sat.
A Stevens double barrel would send a very powerful message

Yep, and more prepared. 24/7 armed guards sounds like a good route to go

It's no longer geographically bound.
Any retard that can steal an EG Civic can steal an R. It's that simple.
Broken pressure plate

sorry to hear this. I as well as many others hope that this never happens to ourselves or anyone else.
Good luck keeping it safe. Hopefully they will not be back for another go.

blows man. sorry to hear it. and at least you still have your caR at the end of the day! just keep in mind when you fix the pressure plate that they know where your R is and how to get in it, so layer it with lots of security beyond what you already have in it man. keep a dog in it over night with food and water lol
