Default laces that rebuild motors in WA

alright, well its time for my gsr motor to be rebuilt.

i am looking for anyone that lives in Washington State that has had any Honda B-series rebuilt.

If you could please tell the following:

-What kind of motor you had rebuilt, along with any additional things do to the motor.

-How much the total rebuild cost you.

-Who did the rebuild and where are they located.

-How is your motor running now.

Thanks so much. Just trying to figure out any more options and seeing if a rebuild is cheaper than a JDM swap. Any other suggestions are much appericated.

i haven't had a motor built before, but a few of my friends have.

pricing all depends on what you want to do. if you're just gonna go back to stock specs, you may not need a shop to rebuild it for you unless you're in desperate need of some kind of warantee. it'll be the cheapest route imo.

my friend had intec re-assemble a gsr block for him. it was cleaned and rebuilt back to oem specs for ~750. and this was with him suppling everything (pistons, new piston rings, wrist pins, rods, timing belt, water pump, headgasket, bearings, etc).. he had no head work or machine work done. this was at intec racing in kent.

my cousin had his ls block built for boost. he only supplied the pistons, piston rings, wrist pins, and rods. everything else was ordered by the machine shop. they bored it out to 81.5mm and stainless steel valves were put in the head. he paid 1800 for everything i think. this was by a shop in kirkland, i forgot the name of the shop.

there's also a place called Bud's. i've had a few friends go to him for builds. but i'm not sure how much he charges though.

there's a couple HT members here in WA that could do the build for you. depends if you're willing to trust them. i know i could.
