Engine Off

a little engine temp is good to get a really accurate reading, but not that much difference between hot engine or cold engine.

The biggest difference between checking it hot or cold will be the size of the blisters on your arm from reaching past the radiator hose. LOL

i ain't sticking my arm down there to check while the engine is running or just hot period. i know if you went to the dealer, they do it while its hot though. they are pretty much set up and know how to do it. otherwise, they'd always have a line out the door if they wait for a car to get cool down for and extended amount of time.

Most Hondas want to be checked after they're warmed up & turned off.
