Just some eye candy....
Nothing special just some TIG jobs from school. Everything is done vertical up & left handed. I've found that being able to use both hands and feet in welding is very usefull.

Good color. Almost looks to be on the "cold side" but all in all not bad. Your heat affected zone is the only thing that i'd be looking at. Are you using any torch movement, because your haz should be more straight than that. But honestly thats nit picking, and your welds look damn good, and your mechanical skills are there which is the hardest part. Nice work.
I don't know about calling that "eye candy". Seems like a bit much.
The consistency is alright, but that's about the simplest weld you can do. Plus your using some pretty thick plate, so that's working for as a pretty good heatsink. It's kind of hard not to get good color using very thick material. In you notice though, at the end where you were running out of heatsink, the weld overheated quickly.
The weld is also contaminated in sections, with specs in the bead, and areas that appear to have been touched by the tungsten lightly. The fillets are harder to weld than the tjoint, and not altogether bad, you just need practice.
Work on your cleanliness, weld material that isn't so "lack of heat control" friendly, and be sure to keep your filler in the shield while your welding.
Weld some pipe or something with curvature too.
Overall, not bad for just starting...but I'd hold off on calling things "eye candy" just yet.

by eye candy I was simply implying that there were pictures, something for others to look at. I know it could use work but these welds are about 4 months old and I haven't gone to school to pick up my locker full of pipe and other welds that were completed afterwards.
By eye candy, you're implying there is something that is absolutely gorgeous and out of the ordinary sorta thing, which RC000E seemed to disagree.
Disclaimer: I simply trying to elaborate RC000E's post, doesn't mean I agree with him. I still suck at welding so I have no room to talk. I think they look purty

Titled changed, I don't want to boast about something I know isn't perfect.
One more thing, the ends of my welds look overheated because I was pulling the sheilding gas away instantly, something I have corrected and learned to control color with.

I didn't say they were horrible, I merely tried to give my opinion. They aren't the best is all I'm saying. Are they strong...surely, are they better than alot of people can do...surely, do they leave room for improvement...yep.
