So you changed your oil and didn't change your filter? Whats the point in running clean oil trough a dirty filter?? Also, pushing your car hard all day every day and always beating on it will ALWAYS take its toll on an engine, so maybe thats whats wrong. My personal opinion, take better care of your car

you need to go and change the oil filter, any time you change the oil, get a new filter, just go to napa or autozone and get a wix, or honda oil filter, and change it asap, also make sure the seal stays on the old filter, dont want it to stick and double seal ur new filter, easy oil leak

Did you expect the oil change to give you 10-20 hp?

What do you expect out of a stock motor?

Start taking your car somewhere like jiffy lube since youre too lazy to change the filter and stop driving like a asshat.

Dude, always change the filer too. You sure you didn't put too much oil in it?

Why did you use 5w-30? OEM oil is 10w-30 I believe and I've always put 10w-30 in my Hondas.

haha That reminds me of a neighbor that lived next to a friend of mine. They would get his used oil and reuse it in their van.

I think a B-series honda is the last car I'd ever want used oil from haha

It could have been a Honda Odyssey!!!?

Holy crap! You stated your problem in the OP <TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by Integra4lyfe069 &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">i didint change the oil filter though</TD></TR></TABLE>

Thats a problem and not the smartest idea... be sure to take care of that asap and better yet take your car to the dealer, because you cant trust jiffy lube to not do the same thing you did

DONT just goto jiffylube or somthing ... Ive done this twice.. both times a mistake.

First time they put my plug back in off the teeth cuz it started to leak.

Second time doesnt leak anymore , but in the middle of the change they had me start it and forgot to put an oil filter on it .. I knew somthing happened then someone yelled , I asked what happened they said "oh nothing" . After leaving look under my car to see oil drippin onto my exhaust .

Just do it <U>right</U> yourself

Some people change their oil very prematurely. If its a car on its last legs that you really don't care about I'd throw used oil in it. Changing the filter is absolutely mandatory. On a side note, I know it says changing the washer is necessary but if the washer is in good shape then its not really necessary to change it.

Id say its more of a recommendation than mandatory like you said... at the dealership i work at we change them every oil change yet another nissan dealership further south didnt and never had any issues. As for the filter, i dont care if the car is junk or not that is a must.
