whats with options 2,3, &4? are they really options?

what r u doing on this forum if your going to wuss out on us? (jk)

I think the better alternative would be more cost effictive spending.
I put 8000 into my car total (give or take maybe 500$ or so) and paid 10000 for it back in 99 and a **** load of my own personal man hours. that cars been running for 14 years and would destroy 60% of cars out there now.

even to brake it down, just parts with my labour on all other parts but the motor swap and balance shaft seals (i havn't tried that yet cause im a ***** )(next drop im doing myself for sure though ) i've only spent 18000 +- maybe 1000 dollers or so. It runs like it just rolled off the lot and looks better. It is 4ws so off the lot they were over 35000 i think. so spending 18000 on a 35000 sports car wasn't that bad. I know i'd only get maybe 5000 for it now but thats life. Just Ride it out

srry for length, i love my 4th or 3rd gen preludes though.

*edit* 4th or 3rd gen

Thats the spirit Yes, i have long term performance based plans for my 4th gen. Prelude. And i will not be expecting to resale my 4th gen. for lots of money, so will definitely hold on to it for some time.

If it wasnt for the 4th generation Prelude, I would never own a Honda product. I just am not into 4cyl. power. The Prelude is an exception.

I've had my Lude for over 7 years now and I don't think I'll ever sell it.
Even if I buy other cars, I'll always keep the Prelude.

Lude is 15 years old, still gets 26-32 mpg, and $0 car payment. So what if she needs a paint job.

I have 3 cars. I think the Prelude is a keeper for a longtime. I appreciate the Prelude for what it is. I don't intend on trying to make it the most powerful car out there, nor do I plan to tear it apart like many people have. Ever since I got it, I have been trying to restore it (fix AC, fix 4WS issue, etc) as well as make it a little more fun to drive.

I made a decision to rebuild the whole thing. I am going to take as much of it apart so i can paint the car, as well as make it more to my liking. ~230whp is my goal, ALL new paint, new moldings, new front bumper, etc. I just want it to be a fun little car to drive.

Now, for my straightline speed needs, I am working on a 240SX.

Its funny how people say they'll keep them forever.......
I believe about 1/2 of you....
My Primary Prelude will be in my garage forever much like a Muscle car for a Father Type person.....
My 2nd Prelude is nice and all, but I will want something nicer as a Daily Driver in the future. 2007 Tundra here I come!

I intend to destroy my Prelude at some point. There is a race between me and the rust. Hopefully that will be along time after I get another car.

i would keep my lude forever, seeing as how in the long run the money ive put into it isnt a lot. (probably around 10k).
However, I'm moving to CA for school, and I'm about to find out that SMOG and my nearly-turboed honda arent fitting together well. What can I do? I might have to sell.. and figure out a way to get an s2000....

I just bought my prelude, but have been a HUGE fan of them for a long, long time. I'm finally in a position to where I could actually pick up a 97 Sh (yay). I hope when I'm out of school and have a decent career type job to be able to keep the lude as a project and build it up, as a toy. Hopefully it'll be with us for several years. Maybe I'll buy a 4th gen and build that too. My wife could use a car to go with the bowling ball I got her for christmas.

Do yourself a favor and ditch the SH before you start wasting money on it...

What kind of money are we talking? If the main difference between the SH and the base is the ATTS, won't a base model JDM H22A engine swap more or less turn the SH into a base model? I'm kind of a n00b with cars in general, but I've been doing a lot of reading on these forums and that's what I gathered. Any input? just curious, mostly.
