Honda Car Alarms
Got an 07 Civic. Last night the car alarm randomly went off then stopped on it's own. Same thing happened to my dad's 04 Accord two weeks before. Anyone else have this problem?

There may be some sort of warning chirp to the alarm. Most aftermarket alarms have them, but i dont know about factory.

I locked it and left the window down. reached in and opened it and nothing

do you have factory alarm or aftermarket? if its aftermarket anything could of set off such as a car passing by etc etc check the sensor level . if its factory then theirs no alarm! its just an inmobilelizer (miss spell?) with lock/unlock doors and pop trunk And a panic button

so when the window sticker says alarm it only means emmobilizer?
What does that do. not allow the car to start unless its unlocked with the romote? or is it the chip in the key?
To the OP: if its an aftermarket alarm turn down the sensativity level

yeah its coded with the key so if you try to copy your key (or lost key) the car wont start even tho anything really is possible to bypass that engine stuff and steal the car its possible. so be careful with your honda keys those are expensive. No real alarm on our civics lol.
