It looks like you dumped the bike and are trying to fix it for $10.

It'll cost a fortune to do professionally, but no, that won't chalk up. You'd better find a good shop, though, because nobody makes a "flat black" automotive paint. The shop has to mix in the right amount of flattening agent and not polish it up to a gloss. You could do it yourself with John Deere Blitz Black paint (oil based) which is a semi-flat hot rodders have used for decades. It's hard to shoot because it dries quickly giving you uneven dry streaks, but it's do-able.

You could also look into Honda's Asphalt paint:

Just paint it yourself. Painting isnt THAT hard if you take your time. And flat black is easier than most glossy colors. I'd paint it with Rhino Liner .

If your oem bodywork is in good condition don't expletive with it. A custom paint job is probably the best way to kill your resale short of actually crashing. Get some race plastics with cutouts for lights (sharkskinz makes it, maybe others) and then paint that.

^^^ I heard there is another brand... I remember I saw it somewhere on 600rr... which one makes race fairings that are actually a good fit? I heard there was somewhere out there a 300-400 dollar company that's making some really good quality work on race fairins, it might be sharkskinz but I'm not sure... LMK

i just did mine. its not a totaly flat black rattle can but it turned out good. no primer just a LOTT of wetsanding. but after working on the bike it is not very strong paint and im taking it all of re wetsanding and fillling in all the putty holes. over all i was very impressed with the look. clean on my f3 everything is semi-flat black except the lower fairing.

so what you guys are saying is that a bodyshop wont do a good job at painting flat black... Like I explained I work at a shop and we get wholesale prices for the body shop to do our jobs... so it won't cost me a fortune like it would the average joe...

Not only is Rhino Liner heavy, even with an eighth of an inch layer, its also a rough surface that will create drag.

The smoother it is, the more aerodynamic ya are.
