I am about to leave to go out to my parents house, to use their garage, and I need to know, what is the best adhesive to use to hold the carpet down! Thanks!

 

What model/year car is this carpet going into?

I just swapped carpet into my Civic. You don't need glue.

You just pull out the old one, and lay on the new one. You just use the plastic screws that are already on the old carpet and use it for the new one.

If you want to use some glue, some silicone would be OK.

 

That's the thing, there never has been carpet since i got the hatch(1992 civic si).

 

Don't use any adhesive/glue just throw it in there an the trim pieces will be enough to hold it down.. the only part I could see sticking up is the rear right over the back seats if you don't have them in and in that case find someone with a few of the black carpet hooks and put those on there.
