My buddy is offering to sell me his gSR leather seats for almost nothing, basically they are free. Has anyone ever put them in a 4th gen lude? Does it require any modifications? the seats are in great condition, and im sure they would look better than my stock si cloth seats.

 

im pretty sure they will not bolt right up. the gsr seats will bolt into an EG civic, i put 93 prelude seats in my 94 civic and they did not line up. so based on that, i think you will need to swap seat pans or something like that.

 

i put integra seats in my 3rd gen....had to use my orginal outer rail and the integra inner. but the inner had to be modified at the rear bolt location. basically the tab on the rear folds in on the integra but on my prelude i had to bend it to the other side.

 

Thanks for the help. Has anyone done this in a 4th Gen though. My friend did RSX seats in his teg and said he only had to fab up an adapter plate.

Not aimed at you......But 90's Honda leather sucks.......
Not to mention you slide all over the place in them.......
Honda/Acura didn't start with "better" leather until late 90's early 00's.
OEM Cloth 4G seats FTW!
Im going to reupholster mine next winter and add some custom memory foam, also going to make a headrest.

Really? Mine are still in great shape, the interior as a whole. Not much wear after 13 years, and they're bucket so I dont' slide much at all. Besides I always wear my seatbelt.

 

Why you ask? Because the GSR seats are FREE and the rest of my interior i Have already done custom in leather, So i will probably hold onto my seats until i have some cash to do something with them. Maybe i would like my 4th gen seats if they were leather. I don't know, But for now, i got the gsr seats for free, and they match the rest of my leather interior. So i appreciate the help, but keep your negative opinions to yourself. I know the 4th Gen seats are comfortable, they were designed by recaro, and you don't slide at all. But it's gonna look goofy if i have leather on my door panels and on my rear seats but cloth striped front seats?
