Lately i have been thinking of selling my car. But i am not to sure what to get if i did. I am really leaning towards an Evo 8 but not sure. My car is basically stock with a simple intake, s300, test pipe, and some coilovers. Im not sure what it is, but lately i have been torn away from the car. Late nights on the way home i love it...taking the backroads everywhere and having a blast. But DD around town its killing me. Quite possibly the no A/c or PS.....something is killing it for me, and i am definetly wanting something else...Not FWD...
So heres your chance, tell me what you would get if your EVER sold your ITR..it will help give me some ideas.

If I sold both my Type-R and my Type-SH... This is what I'd get:
For my daily driver: 2004 Acura TSX 6-speed. Mugen window visors, OEM lip kit, OEM foglights, AEM V2 intake, and that's it.
For my toys (Yes, I could afford two if I sold both of my cars): 1989 240SX RPS13 (Hatchback) automatic, fully gutted, LS1 swap, high stall, big slicks, intake/headers/cam/head work, and a 150 shot... Easy 10s, maybe 9s with some seat time.
And a '92 CV/VX hatchback, B20/VTEC, high CR, nice head package, lopey *** cams, ITBs, nice exhaust system, Type-R brakes/suspension, Yellow/GCs... All around fun car, definately track the hell out of it.
I've often thought about this, but man, I've finally made up my mind about what to do with the Type-R, and I'm 100% stoked on the car again.

i've thought about this at times too
the conclusion i came to:
i could not afford a different car that would give me the same performance and be as much fun as my Integra, whilst still being as new as my Integra. i'd need to look to some old wanked out POS that'll break on me

i plan on selling my R soon after expo cause i got my eyes set on an STi
for sure i will be back though. im most likely going to be looking for a shell once I have an STi in my possession

The only car that will ever replace my R is a Lotus Exige. I'd drive it stock for a while, than save up to swap a K20A Type R.
It's the only car that I can think of that has a similar mission statement to the R. It seems like a logical progression to me.

Geoff hit the nail on the head with his comment.
The performance that the ITR gives you for the price cannot be beaten. I think this is fogotten all too often and previous owners can't find the same performance per $ value they had with their R and get pissed off.
Wise up... you have a bad-*** performace car for next to nothing. Unless you are ready to shell out the cash for something far more expensive, keep the R

well i think the R was bad investment for me.
i got the car brand new back in 2001. for 32500 that makes 38500 CAD with tax included
and i spent 15000 easily for upgrades.
that makes it close to 55000
i could have got something that handles better than itr with that kind of money.
if i had 55000 now .. i will get elise and call it a day.
so this makes my car. really really bad $$$ to performance ratio
yup. i lose

i understand what you going through. The R is fun for weekend or track, but for daily driven with no A/C would be a pain in the heat.If you really love the R why not get another one with A/C -n- P/S. Most of the people who sold their R actually regret doing it.For me, if I would sell my R one day which I wont!! i will get this GC8...I just love ole school scooby
It is tuff to sell the ITR since you know you will regret it one day. Just buy another fune DD if you can. I think selling the ITR for an EVO or STI would be acceptable.
I sold my ITR, paid some bills and then got this. Well actually, I got the car pretty much stock when I still had the R, but the R funded the "project."

debating selling mine for a better suited DD.. cant afford 2 cars right now and no a/c is killing me right about now.. still dunno what i would get to replace it.. maybe a nice suv and get a cheap project car or something on the side.. keep in mind im 6'5 and getting in and out of this car everyday is not always fun..

im about to sell my itr....hopefully within this week now with all these "pending" offers.
STi...here i come! (no evo option here in canada
)
i figured i can have just as much as in the sti as i do in the itr, only the sti is more convinient for me, havin 4drs, awd cause we get damn long winters here too, and the potential go modify it if i ever decide to is still there, either way ill do something minor to it to make it handle better and go a bit fasterrrr
