Default What's up I'm new

New to honda tech, figured I'd make a proper intro. My name is bob I work at a honda dealership. I drive a 90 civic SI and a 93 nissan TT-Z on rare occasions

heres some pics of the civ

I've had tons of EFs but I'm liking how this one is turning out the most. what you guys think?

Hello Bob, welcome to Honda-tech.com

I admire your vehicle...for a car more than 10 years...it still looks immaculate.

Any future plans with your vehicle, Bob?

To be honest I don't have any big plans for it right now. I'm just trying to keep it clean. I have some JDM sidemarkers on the way and a rear disc conversion in my garage. If I do much more to it it will be after I finish painting my 300zx. As of now the civ just has eibach lowering springs. Tokiko illumina 5 ways. Front and back strut bars and tie bars. JDM center console. And a few things I'm probly forgetting. I bought it a few months ago bone stock for 400$. It came with about 14 quarts of oil in it so I ended up rebuilding the whole motor. Gonna leave that stock right too untill I'm done driving back and forth to college. Thanks for the comment, and quetions just ask!

What kind of motor do you plan to install in your vehicle?

Any possibilities for a K-series down the road?

the lip is off a jetta it's cut up and flipped upside down. The wheels are from a miata good eye! I got them when I worked at mazda. I also have a set of rota slips and some hollander mesh wheels but I don't wanna buy tires right now. I'd rather not take off the stripe I've always liked the si-r look. If I do a motor swap I would just order a clip and get the front end from an sir and the b16. I would just like it to look like a stock si-r with a few mods. I don't need to make it fast. that's what this is for.

I love the Z but damn it's got horrible paint! In the middle of stripping it right now. Pulling the motor and everything to do a colorchange to silver.

I think it was like a 98. They will only fit on the 88-89 bumpers and I gotta warn you the civic is wider so you will have a gap in the middle. Right now I just have my plate over it but i'm looking for a new lip to cut and splice a peice in

my buddy has one on his 91 sedan, i think you have a gap becuase its upsidedown and the bottom of the lip isnt as wide.

On the wheels I ended up grinding out the back portion and left the outer ring alone so they could be balanced, tapered lug so I think it should be fine. Drives fine so I'm confident with it. thanks for the comments everyone

Bump for the miata wheels. I was going to buy wheel spacers, but if they are driving fine with the backside be grinded, I'm going to give that a try.

Threw some sidemarkers on the other day. Also bought a black tenzo R full bucket seat for the drivers side, had the usuall EF seat wear. Just waiting on a bracket

imo you cant go very low pro with 14s.. 15s i think a 55 series looks good, not sure about 16s .. but it always looks better with bigger wheels. with your wheels id go with a 60 , 70 is kinda big.

55 series on a 15" is a little on the too big side.

he should get a 195-55-14 or something similar, like a 185-60-14
