Default I/C fab ?

i'm having an intercooler made for my k-series eg. i have the core and the tanks already made for me by pwr. i need to make the inlet and outlet still so that they will fit into some tight spaces of the chassis. i'm guessing that the tanks are .125 6061. i'm gonna need some bends coming off I/C that are max outside diameter of 3". i was hoping to find some 11 gauge bends but all the ones i found have huge clr. i'm starting to think i might be going about it wrong, so i figured i should ask what everybody uses.

btw the tubing/pipe won't need to be bead rolled because i'm gonna run v-bands.

If you need it super tight you can use the 3" cast aluminum elbows from somewhere like ATP turbo. They're a tighter radius than you can bend.

I usually don't use those, only in situations where nothing else will fit. Tighter radius bends don't flow as well as bigger radius bends, so if you don't have to use them....

do you think using 14 gauge tubing would cause a problem. it seems alittle to thin but maybe i'm just being peranoid. what do you think?

I wouldnt use anything thinner then .125" . Under alot of pressure the tanks can blow apart. Just my opinion though

hes not talking about the end tank material.

i dont see why 16ga wouldnt work, it works just fine for I/C pipes.
