Default Foreign Objects in Old Oil Pan. Car Seems Fine? HELP!!

I just got a USDM 1991 CRX Si ED9 from a friend. I originally had done a mini-me swap on the car for her and found out afterwards that the A6 block was shot. She then went somewhere and got some guy to put a whole D16Z6 in the car. I don't know where the engine came from and considering I had to re-wire, reconnect, or connect a whole **** load of stuff either the guy who installed the motor didn't know what he was doing, or did a half *** job or both.

Along with not knowing the origin of the motor, I feel bad admitting I built this car for her because she's a street racing, wannabe, clutch destroying, mis-shifting retard. So more than likely the 3 months she was driving it she had it at 7200RPMs most of the time.

So anyway the car's leaking like a sieve, 1 I isolated is the head gasket which I'm fixing soon, the other was a stripped out oil pan which I replaced today. However, when I took the old oil pan out I found these things in there:

I don't know what they are or where they came from as I've never rebuilt any Honda motor, only external/swaps and such. They're stamped "Taiwan" on them and I'm unsure if any Honda internals are made there but usually motors come from all sorts of places so it's possible.

As you can see 1 seems to be in tact (at least sort of). What the hell are these things? The car runs without them... but I've driven it very nice and less than 4 miles since I got it. So is it part of the crank? Is it's going to explode the first time I put it above 4000RPMs???

For those who hate reading:

I Found Those Things in my Oil Pan. What Are They?

I have a real bad feeling the first reply is going to be "LOL How is your engine running!?!? LOLOLOL" I hope not

Thanks for the obvious update, Dr. Moron.

I'm asking what they are, not where the came from. Unless God/Jesus put them there, they came from somewhere below the pistons. However the oil pan could be used and they were in there from some other blown motor. Like I said I don't know the origin of the motor.

What I AM asking is what they are... to see if they came off of THIS motor.

Keep posting useless posts, rockenuptown, and you'll have a million soon and everyone will love you!

But how about some real help? :D

those things you are posting are the inside part of a universal drain plug it kinda springs out when you insert it in the oil pan cuz the threads are stripped out

They don't exactly "spring" they're solid units... but that sounds plausible. I don't see any place for them to come from on the crank.

correct these go inside and spring open and is a cheap crappy fix to a stripped oil pan drain bolt. These leak almost as much as a stripped drain bolt so it was probably replaced every couple times the oil was changed. The only way to get it out is to break it off and you can not see whats left in the pan when this is done. just get a new pan

Awesome! Thank you. The drain plug was a normal one but it also had liquid gasket on it so i guess whoever tried to fix it tried everything.

Thanks so much guys. Load of my back

Thanks again!
