Default HELP THREAD! MY ITR DIED!

HELP THREAD! MY ITR DIED! .... well kinda,

Heres the story guys, engine was up and running normal temp, oil is fresh, trans fluid changed, new battery, new plug wires. Washed the engine a few days ago, check the spark plugs, no water in them. so thats not the issue, but wierd thing is when i pulled over to check in the engine bay, wire #1 was disconnected.

Ok back to the story, I pulled into vtec 1st, then second gear, (perfect shift) no redline. anways in second gear I noticed the car began to lose some power. now when i try to start it, it starts, with check engine light, and batt light on. when i press gass the engine kinda dies out.

Also forgot to mention, that when i easily step on gas, car will run fine, driving it babied. chokes and will die if I press pedal down hard.

sounds like you need a new alternator!! have your battery checked while your at it

That's what I was thinking. But doesn't make sense that it drives normally on partial throttle?

but wierd thing is when i pulled over to check in the engine bay, wire #1 was disconnected.

replace the wire and disco neg cable to erase engine light. happen to me last week. problem solve and while at it change the plug.

got it, did a ob2 check, and it said plugs wires, umm a whole bunch of other things i dont think applied to my problem, tried number 1 and then number 2 and it was the cap and rotor, they are fucked. going to get new plugs and wires while im at it. thanks for the info guys!
