Default Nitrous on 11.5:1 + compression on pump gas

Is this possible as long as u retard the timing while spraying ?? The pump gas will be 93 octane BTW.

well go try it and watch what happens.better yet go read some of my nitrous threads.the comp. + 100 shot will ignite the gas before the spark is even around...
i would hate to see you blow your motor then blame it on the nitrous when it was you that blew your **** up.

check out some of my threads and if you need any help just ask.

You should always have the RETARD option at anything above a 75 shot on Pump gas. I would never spray anything over a 75 shot without being on the Dyno with a wideband, thats just me though.
I have gone through more 100 shot "bottles" than I can remember and ran most at -3 to -4* on 93 octane and was still making ~80whp/80wtq with an NOS Wet Kit.
Retarding may cost you some power but for safety you can't go wrong.

TOLUENE!!! Thats the key to fun IMO! I ran a 100 shot with NO retard with it.....

Homemade race gas.

I believe the standard thought is that you should retard base timing -3 for every 50 shot. And obviously run colder plugs as well.

But personally, 12.2:1 CR + nitrous is pushing it. Even on race gas. Your tuning has to be spot on to prevent detonation.

I don't think that would work out very well......At that point you may as well run a 35 shot. I was running a 75 shot on 93 with no timing retard and had perfect a/f ratios with no detonation. With a 50 shot, I would suggest 1 step colder and full timing.

-3 degrees per 50 shot is a just a conservative number. Obviously wideband tuning will determine your final numbers. I've ran up to a 100 shot with 3 degrees retarded, but it was a little lean for my comfort.

I was very surprised to see at a perfect 13:1 tune N/A my car went to a perfect 12:1 a/f at -3* with a 100 shot on 93 octane. No swapping jets or anything.
50 shot NX may work with some reatrd as their shots are bigger....
Dyno Dyno Dyno for anything over a 50 IMO.

Its not something I would do.....Not to say it CAN'T be done.....If theres something I have learned in 8yrs of Honda modding....People that say it can't be done are never the 1st to succeed in something. Try and fail is better than just not trying IMO. People told me a 100 shot on stock internals wouldn't last more than a few passes and 3yrs and alot of Nitrous later I am still rocking a stock motor and NOW revving it to 8300rpms on RoadCourses.

E85 FTW! This is what my new motor will run. 12.5:1+Nitrous!
