Default OEM vs. Aftermarket...

Ok, so while my engine is out, I have decided to replace my oil pump. A new OE oil pump from slhondaparts.com is about 200 bucks. while one from napa or autozone is about 30 bucks cheaper.

would there be any disadvantage to getting one from autozone or some place like that? I know OEM is supposed to be better quality, but is this just a rumor?

yes I am. I am just saying, can you prove to me, that an OEM honda oil pump is better than one from napa or autozone. If you have no relevance to post, you can keep your smartass comments at the door.

Me personally would pay the extra 23 dollars and get the oem.I can promise u 1 thing, the napa or autozone oil pump will not be better than the oem, otherwise honda would use those brands also.

Honestly 23$ is a small price to pay for piece of mind.
