no start
i have a 00 ek9 stock motor but i changed the manifold to a y8 mani and replaced the throtle body to the stock one because of a sensor when i finished the motor had high rev so i reset the ecu by taking the negative out the battery but that didnt work and then i did it again and now my car wont start and ideas on what it might be?
it appears you might have a vacumn leak. did you change out the intake manifold gasket and TB gasket? Also check your throttle cable as i am unfamiliar with d series if you need a y8 cable.
Let me ask you how you got a y7 tb on a y8 manifold. I did that swap on an auto lx one time and his tb would not fit, sensor didn't clear the plenum opening.
If you are getting power to the ignition, (ie your dash lights up, cel on for two secs, or permanently on, doesnt matter) check your starter cable, and trans ground. If it does not click at all, just dead, the solenoid wire to your starter, is a clip type wire, has come loose, or you have a bad ign fuse, but if your dash works, then your good. check the rigidity of your starter cable, and trans ground if the solenoid wire is plugged in all the way.
Edit: since your starter is getting power, the solenoid is working if you hear it click loud and it doesnt turn. The cause ofthat problem is either a worn starter cable (crimped bent eroded) loose or corroded connection (happens to me at least once a year) or a poor ground wire. Imagine what would happen if you reduced 15 lanes of traffic at 80mph to 2 lanes going 25mph. If all that checks out, your gonna need a starter. This is the same for virtually every car.
