what top speed do b16 trannys run out of gearing. my buddy said 123 but that cant be realistic???

 

i had a b18c1 and i got to 140

 

ever get it on the dyno at a top speed????

 

nope highway...and this was only for a second at night with no one around...i dont promote reckless/careless driving

Most Hondas aren't even safe at 150, probably not after 120. You're more likely to kill yourself doing 150 in a honda, hopefully you don't take anyone with you.

That's what I hate about this forum, someone asks a simple question, and whoever doesn't agree with what he's doing, starts flamming him. Why can't you guys answer the question if you know it, and if you don't, keep the comments to yourself. THIS IS A OPEN FORUM CORRECT?

By the way, on a stock B16, assuming it's a B16a2, the top speed before hitting the rev limiter is 134, but you need about 2 miles of straight road to hit it, most people only manage to get it to around 125.

 

180km/hr so far in my stock b18c1

 

143mph @ 8,000 rpms

 

Not to mention 1 15x7 or 16x7 sized tire is about ______ Wide at 115+

 

195 50 15 tire size

143 MPH is accurate because of a apexi rsm. My cluster was off the scale but was 4-5 mph off in the high mph.
