Car shut off and wont start??? Distributor???
I was driving my car down the street when it shut off. Me and my friends started to check it out and came to the conclusion that the engine isnt getting any spark. We put in a new distributor and nothing. Any suggestions what else it might be??? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

no offense, but how did you come to the conclusion that the motor wasn't getting spark?

We checked by pulling the spark plug out of the head but still having it connected to the spark plug wire and we cranked the car. There wasnt any spark shoting off of the plug

did you have the sparkplug grounded by touching the threads of it to a metal part of the engine? cause if you didnt your not gonna have a spark. so you might want to retry the test making sure the plug is grounded. im gonna give u a heads up that all you want to be holding in to is the plug wire when the motor is being spun over otherwise you might get shocked by the ignition sytem it dont really hurt but it will scare the sh*t out of you if your not expecting it
