I just aquired a jalopy of a 95 civic from my roomate.

civics got 120,000miles on it, previous owner removed AC, and get this....painted the interior...no, not just the vinyl...the whole dash, buttons and all...the roof, the walls, the floor...and its a dull paint, like primer(white) with blue accents...its a mess. But I need a new project. I just bought a dash today from a honda junkyard for $150. It's black, the interior now is grey, I'm thinking I'm going to 2-tone the interior and get the seat re-upholstered in black with grey stitching. Its a big task, but hey...igot nothing but time. Never really worked on cars, so this will be new and fun.

Its got a short ram intake on it already, yes..it is an automatic, but its got a little pep. Going to take the 4inch MagnoFlow muff i got on my saturn and have a buddy of mine weld it up (is there a science behind the TRD style? does that angle do anything....i want exhaust straight yes?).
The body kit on the car is destroyed. Any one know of an afordable shop that does kits? i know civic performance/styling is going to be allot easier and cheaper than it was for my 2000 Saturn SL2(but she died..aparently you shouldnt be driving the family/grandma plastic saturn like a race car..but hey, i tried, i failed.
money is tight, and i just broke up with my girl so i got allot of free time..the car runs, fine. Going to grab some paint thinner or remover and see what i can salvage. you would laugh your asses off...who spray paints a steering wheel???

Wow... saw the pics. The previous own must have loved paint and been blind. What was the ethnicity of the person who you picked it off of?

ethnicity was most likely rice

 

The problem with paint on honda plastic parts is if the thinner is on it too long, it will get gooey and turn white. Your best bet may just be to sand it (scotchbrite) and carefully repaint the parts that aren't cheap.

Just please tell me the bumper you have in mind isn't a vintage copy of some old rice-o-roni r34 design. You have to remember less is more.

 

just put stock bumpers back on there with a lip kit...Will be cheaper and look alot better!

 

Pull the motor, trans, ecu, wheels and anything else that might be of some value and junk it.

Out of pure curiosity what kind of fender is that on the car?

I think the previous owner of his car was also the previous owner of mine. good luck ,i can tell you from experience that if you are any kind of perfectionist it will take you a while to get the interior un SNAFU'd and to your liking

 

strip the interior blind, run a black dash, hop consle and armrest, run bride or recaro's either build that z6 or pull it, tun stock everything from a junkyard or password jdm everything ie tail lights


i like http://www.partstrain.com for cheap front end parts they are loacated in india as far as customer service and arent helpful but the parts are ******* cake and cheap *** hell 29.99 for a fender for my accord


manaul to auto conversion, rear discs while you're at the junk yard this thing could be a beast

No offense but if he had money for brides or recaros I don't think he would be working on this.

 

lol i do and i would, i love to start off with cars like that, sometimes ones that have like b16a swaps or b18b1 swaps that people cant finishe all the way and make some cash or strip it and STILL make money, the honda scene is VERY profitable if you have a bussiness mind and located in socal haha


e.honda you shouldd move out here man, with your know-how on honda's youd be freaking doc charles or bill gates

 

u should just find all the parts here on h-t i doubt it will ever look as good as it needs to or hit up a junk yard
