Default throttle body question

i have a 94 civic hb with a b16a motor. i have a type r intake manifold and a gsr throttle body. the comp im using is a p28 with a mugen program. the tb whistles and i dont know why. this is the 2nd tb that i have gotten that whistles. it is driving me crazy. the 2nd tb i put on was fine for the 1st week and then i started to whistle. does it whistle due to the build up of carbon? or does this setup just make the tb whistle? please post if you have any possable answers or things that i can try to get rid of this problem.

it's not the throttle body, is it? i thought it's just resonance you hear from the open filter. i get a slight whistle, too, but it's only on very light throttle. no problems for me.

all R intake manifold matched with GSR throttle body whistle really loud for some reasons, I think the T/B is too restrictive hence not big opening enuff. (57mm vs 62mm??)

the wistling you hear is turbulence over the butterfly plate itself at partial open (part throttle) conditions. not much you can do about it.

i suggest earplugs, or a louder stereo. well, rubber intake hose with a harmonic damper (aka resonater box) will lessen your annoying sound.

or, WOT.... not such a bad option.

thanks for your replies. but why did it not whistle when i first put it on and about a week later it started to whistle? im running 91 octane. should i go to a lower grade? is there too much carbon build up since im using a high octane? does anyone have a type r tb they want to trade for a 94-95 gsr tb?(wishing this) as for the intake pipe question i have a chrome pipe with a genaric filter. its not cai. it will only whistle at a slight throttle, not at full throttle or when the car is at idle.
