Default Valve Cover Gasket

ok so im putting a new valve cover gasket in and i wanted to know does the gasket go completely inside of the valve cover or is it supposed to be seen from the outside becuase im torquing the vavle cover down rite now and i need to know

niether,goes right in the groove

you might see some of it from the side, use hondabonda to create the best seal all around

yea but is the valve cover supposed to go completely over it so u cant see the gasket or is it supposed to be bolted directly on top of the gasket?

directly on top but that doesnt mean some of the gasket cant be seen from the side when you bolt it down. remeber dont tighten it to much, plenty of ppl snap the bolts right off

thanks bro... yea i found the grooves so im good... but know i was bolting down the valve cover and the spark plug gaskets were coming through so i had to take the valve cover off and push down the spark plug gaskets down into their own grooves but they barely go down any further

ok i got it thanks all done but the motor smoked a little after i turned it on... all i changed was the plugs, wires, and gaskets,, what could it be... when i turned it on it started smoking a little bit then it slowed down... now i think its fine

oil had gotten somwhere on it, but when the motor heated up its burning it off. very normal stuff, just make shure it doesnt do it after about 20min of driving.
