Custom turn on switch for installed monitor behind smoked screen
Just last week i installed a 5.6" monitor behind the smoked screen (4th gen). I installed the screen to the right of the time adjuster (just enough room) so it looks like the JDM passenger side mounted screen. (I'll post pics later).
Anyways, I'm trying to decide where i should install an on/off switch for the monitor. I want it to look as clean and oem as possible. Any ideas?
I was thinking about taking out the time adjuster and put in a push on/off switch in place of it.
Also, I have the 93 ebrake console so perhaps a switch there? What do you guys think?

If you don't want the switch to be seen the clove box will fit very small toggles.
what ever factory switch you get make sure its a push on, push of. and not a momentary. So you would want a fog switch or cruise. I think an jdm antenna button will work as well.

This is on ebay right now. I am pretty sure these switchs will fit in the button locations on the 93 console. you could always scrap off the picture and have a vinyl logo put on

I installed a ps2 slim in my glovebox so installing a switch there is out of the question.
Dealing with the antenna half switch and fog light switch, i was thinking about installing the same thing. A friend of mine installed a toggle switch, from walmart, onto the ebrake console but i want mine to look natural.

Not hard at all.
Those 4 "blanks" pop out. Once I popped them out, I measured where I wanted the switches and cut a hole in the "blank" Then you just run the wire to the switch and pop the "blank" with the switch back in and you're done. Next time I take apart my center console, if I remember I'll take a pic lol.
The circle push button is pretty much the same concept. Just take a drill and drill a small hole where you want the switch. Whatever switch you get, usually has instructions on what kind of diameter hole they want you to drill. Once the hole was drilled, the button has two parts which sandwich between the stock center console. So you hold one plastic nut (sorta speak) underneath the stock center console and put the other piece of the button through the hole. That part has a threaded screw on it and you just tighten the nut from underneath and you're done.

That looks awsome. I always wondered why our ludes came with so many blank locations. I figured out two were prob for CDN heated seats, but that leaves two still. Maybe one market had a nawz option.
Anyway not sure if that helps the OP. Obviously the 92-93 center console is different and it's been awhile since I sat in one. Does it have those blanks switch locations there too? I know it has no armrest, and the e-brake is different.

Those custom switches are alot cleaner than i thought. I might opt for doing that rather than paying like $40 for a half-antenna switch or fog light switch to attach my monitor to.

The 93 console has 4 blank switchs located along the left top side of the console.
Anyways, I hard wired a power inverter (for my PS2) and mounted it in the trunk, so i'll probably connect my monitor's power wire and my inverter's power wire to the same switch so that they both turn on with a flip of a switch; no need to turn on one without the other.
